About · Our chauffeurs

The chauffeur,
as a standard.

We do not name our chauffeurs on this site. Discretion runs both directions. What we will tell you is how the standard is built — and what we ask of every person who carries it.

01
The four standards

How the standard
is built.

Recruitment, training, continuing standards, and retention — the four lines along which every chauffeur is held.

I
I · Recruitment

We hire by referral.

We hire by referral and by quiet outreach. The vast majority of our chauffeurs come from the recommendation of an existing chauffeur or a long-standing client. We do not advertise. Background checks — federal, state, and commercial driving — are non-negotiable, conducted before the first conversation about the role.

II
II · Training

Six weeks, at minimum.

Onboarding takes a minimum of six weeks before a new chauffeur takes a solo assignment. The curriculum covers vehicle protocols, route discipline, protocol-aware service for diplomatic clients, discretion training, and route-and-arrival rehearsals at the senior airports and embassy properties. Additional certifications — defensive driving, executive protection-adjacent — are paid for and required for armored-vehicle assignments.

III
III · Continuing standards

Reviewed quarterly.

Every chauffeur is reviewed quarterly. Every chauffeur receives at least 16 hours of structured continuing education annually. Driving records are pulled monthly. Vehicle inspections happen daily.

IV
IV · Retention

Tenure is the signal.

Most of our chauffeurs have been with us for more than five years. The average tenure is the longest single signal we can give a new client about what to expect — not just experience, but ownership.

02
A note on discretion

The principle runs in both directions.

Some things we keep
to ourselves.

You will not find chauffeur names, photographs, or biographies on this site. We are sometimes asked. Our answer is no. The principal we drive on Monday does not need to know who else our chauffeur drove on Wednesday. The principle runs the other direction too. If you'd like to meet your assigned chauffeur before the trip — which is welcome for recurring engagements — we'll arrange it in person, not online.
